Special Needs & Disability

This module considers the history and development of legislation, policy and practice for children with special educational needs and/or disability how their needs can be met. You will consider issues of labelling as well as models of disability and how these can impact upon attitudes and provision. You will also examine the issues of assessment and early intervention, as well as the affects of having a child with special educational needs and/or disability on the family.
