This module is rooted in “real-world” practical learning and outcomes. Lectures on the (U.K.) creative and cultural industries and economies provide contextual foundations for understanding and strategising their prospective careers as creatives. From here, students conduct longitudinal field research: e.g., surveys, skills audits, and market research. Reading and critical research comes from academic and industry sources and is used to inform and underpin “WYSIWYG” template/example exercises: students write and produce funding applications, business plans, project budgets, and make and publish websites.
