Voice: This class aims to introduce and develop basic proficiency in vocal techniques, with a particular concern for freeing the natural voice and developing a symbiotic relationship with movement practice.

Acting: You will be introduced to a range of acting techniques and practitioners such as Stanislavski, Meiser, Chekhov, and Hagen – developing key skills in character development, improvisation, and imagination. You will be able to contextualise key approaches to acting and apply them in practical contexts within rehearsal and performance.

Devising: You will explore techniques and strategies for devising from a range of contemporary theorists, practitioners, artists and theatre companies. You will develop key skills in durational improvisation, critical reflection, preparation and planning for practice. The emphasis is on you, through experimentation with existing approaches and techniques, developing your own artistic identity, agenda, and innovative approaches to the creation of new performance practice.
