Explicitly linked to both Foundation in Knowledge and Skills and Personal Study in Education, the aims of this module are to provide you with the academic and personal support necessary to thrive in your first year at university. There will be a specific focus on identifying and addressing your individual learning needs, linking you to other relevant sources of academic and personal support and developing your skills and confidence. The module will run across both semesters of your first year and will culminate in the production of an individual action plan to support you as you progress to the next phase of your studies.
