You will examine selected adaptations of association football in relation to how these adaptations have extended the dominant game. In particular, the module will focus on specific adaptations including but not exclusive to futsal, forms of disability football, walking football, beach soccer and the emergence of the female game. Across all these formats the aim will be to examine how they are different and unique to the traditional and dominant 11v11 game of association football.
