This module introduces you to European Union Law and the impetus behind the formation of the European Union.
You will examine the law-making institutions of the European Union, the different sources of EU Law and the fundamental freedoms provided by the Treaties.
You will examine the impact of EU law including on the free movement of goods, persons, services and capital, as well as competition between Member States as the foundational principles underpinning the Single Market.
You will also study the impact of EU law on the constitution of Member States and the means by which individuals may enforce EU-derived rights.
