This module aims at exposing students of diverse background specialisms to a wide range of environmental issues and challenges. Drawing on basic science and engineering principles it enables students to assess specific environmental problems and design solutions that reduce or eliminate their global and local environmental impacts at conceptual and practical levels. It will therefore enable the students to experience a number of different environmental threats, risks and issues and help them develop practical and commercially viable solutions to a wide range of environmental engineering subjects.
