In this module, you will explore the relationship between political agendas and sport and physical education agendas, from both international and comparative perspectives. You will analyse the utilisation and impact of sporting mega-events such as the Olympics and widening global issues on communities. In addition, you will critically analyse the role of the state in the managing of meaning of such events (such as in the creation of national identities) in different countries.
