Building upon the Management and Organisations and Introduction to Law modules studied in year one, you will develop your understanding of key concepts, practices and processes for the successful management of people.
This module will outline the following concepts:
- The theory, key principles and practices of workforce planning and resourcing
- Managing performance and reward
- Talent retention
You will also be taught an appreciation of the skills that are needed to manage people within various types of work organisations.
The session learning activities, tasks and literature provide a structure through which to locate these key HR practices. This will be outlined within the context of different organisations and the field of contemporary management from a national and international perspective.
