This module will give you the necessary mathematics skills to start your BEng degree. This module assumes little or no experience in applied mathematics at level 3 (A level, BTech) and is essential so you can study other modules in the foundation year. You will be assessed through a MATLAB assessment and a written exam. You will cover topics including equations, inequalities and basic rules of algebra, geometry (2D and 3D) and introductions to vectors, matrices and probability.
