The module covers a variety of current issues which impact on the role of both the Physical Education teacher and professional coach. You will examine the work of National Governing Bodies of Sport and national organisations such as Sports Coach UK in the context of the professionalization of the role of the coach. Coaching and the Law, Ethical issues, coach education and the implications on the future role of coaches within education and community settings will also be critically evaluated.
