This module will introduce you to the fundamental semiconductor devices, their operation and characteristics, and their applications in power electronic converters and how these are used in electrical energy conversion. You will also discover the basic types of electrical machines and how they are used to convert electrical energy into mechanical energy and vice versa. You will be assessed through an analysis assignment and a lab report.
