New postgraduate Occupational Therapy course launches at the University of Chichester

A new postgraduate degree course at the University of Chichester, accredited by the Health and Care Professions Council, is set to welcome its first group of students in the new year. Occupational Therapists are in great demand, with job opportunities in the NHS, schools, charities, private practice and custodial environments.
The MSc Occupational Therapy degree is ideal for graduates who want to gain a professional academic qualification and start a career in a highly rewarding field. Occupational Therapists help and support people of all ages to overcome challenges they may experience in completing activities.
The accelerated two-year course is accredited by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Royal College of Occupational Therapists.
Once students graduate from the course, they will be eligible to apply for registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Dr Nita Muir, Head of the School of Nursing and Allied Health said: “The launch of our MSc Occupational Therapy reflects the University of Chichester’s commitment to supporting workforce growth in this vital area of healthcare. By offering an accelerated, accredited programme, we are responding to national demand and equipping graduates with the skills to make a real difference in people’s lives. We now offer the opportunity to study Nursing, Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy at our outstanding Bishop Otter Campus.”
Students on this course can apply for at least £5,000 a year of NHS funding, with up to £3,000 further funding available for eligible students.
