University of Chichester agrees strategic partnership to launch exclusive dual degrees in Thailand

The University of Chichester is delighted to announce a landmark strategic partnership with SBU – Southeast Bangkok University – to establish ‘Chichester Bangkok’, a pioneering academic hub in the heart of South East Asia. This collaboration marks a significant step in the University of Chichester’s global engagement strategy and reinforces its commitment to delivering world-class education with a truly international outlook.
Under this partnership, UoC and SBU will offer exclusive, validated dual programmes in Thailand, providing students with the unique opportunity to earn a British qualification while gaining invaluable insights into Asian perspectives. These programmes will combine academic excellence with cultural diversity, equipping graduates with the skills and global mindset needed to thrive in today’s interconnected world.
To reflect this vision, the faculty has introduced a new tagline: ‘British Qualification – Asian Perspectives.’ This encapsulates the essence of the partnership: blending the rigour and prestige of UK higher education with the dynamic and evolving context of Southeast Asia.
Professor Symeon Dagkas, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Chichester, commented: “This partnership represents an exciting chapter in our internationalisation journey. By working closely with SBU, we are creating pathways for students to access high-quality British education while embracing the rich cultural and economic landscape of Thailand and the wider region.”
The new dual programme degrees will offer:
- a focus on cross-cultural learning, preparing graduates for global careers
- commitment to quality assurance and academic integrity, aligned with UK standards.
The collaboration underscores Chichester’s dedication to fostering international partnerships that enhance educational opportunities and promote cultural exchange. With ‘Chichester Bangkok’, students will benefit from innovative teaching, industry engagement, and a curriculum designed to meet the demands of a rapidly changing global economy.
