University of Chichester ranked top 30 in the Guardian University Guide 2026

First-class teaching and high levels of student satisfaction have seen the University of Chichester ranked in the top 30 by the new Guardian University Guide 2026. The impressive Guardian ranking rounds off a spectacular summer for the University of Chichester, which was recently named ‘University of the Year for Teaching Excellence’ by the Daily Mail. The university also celebrated outstanding results in this year’s National Student Survey (NSS) where it was ranked as the No.1 university in the Southeast and 12th out of all 131 higher education institutions in the UK, by final-year students. 

The Guardian University Guide 2026, which was published today, assessed 123 universities on criteria which include teaching and feedback, student satisfaction and the number of students in employment after graduation. 

Subjects singled out for praise included creative writing (2nd in the UK) and media and film studies (4th in the UK).
