Free advice for budding authors at university’s publishing event

Are you curious about how a book makes its way into print? To lift the veil on the often-mysterious world of publishing, the University of Chichester’s Annual Publishing Panel Event returns once again this May.

The free event, organised by The Chichester Centre for Critical and Creative Writing, is a chance for budding authors to meet three literary agents, and to ask any burning questions about getting published. It takes place on Wednesday 13 May from 5-7pm on the University of Chichester’s Bishop Otter campus (in room E124).

This year’s exciting line-up features Amandeep Singh, Literary Agent at Graham Maw Christie Agency; Florence Rees, Literary Agent at A. M. Heath and Steven Evans, Literary Agent at Eve White Literary Agency. The evening will include a panel discussion and a Q&A session.

Karen Stevens, Senior Lecturer in Creative Writing at the University of Chichester will chair the event. Karen said: ‘The process of finding an agent can often feel daunting and inaccessible, but our annual Publishing Panel Event aims to demystify that journey and give writers clear, practical advice on how to get their work out into the world. We’re thrilled to welcome such an outstanding panel this year and proud to support emerging voices within our creative community.’
