Graduation booking form

Complete your graduation booking form available on your ChiView Graduation page. This booking form is for:

  1. Registering your attendance
  2. Letting us know if you cannot attend
  3. Requesting guest tickets
  4. Letting us know about any special requirements you or your guests may have. Due to limited wheelchair seating available we can only arrange this for you if informed in advance.

Once you have submitted your form if you wish to make any changes please email us at graduation@chi.ac.uk.

If you have paid for guest tickets but are not eligible to graduate a full refund will be given.

The deadline for registering your attendance for undergraduate ceremonies is Monday 6 July 2020.

The deadline for registering your attendance for postgraduate ceremonies is Monday 14 September 2020.

I cannot access my ChiView account?

Your ChiView account can be accessed at https://chiview.chi.ac.uk/.

If you are unable to log in please follow the instructions on the ChiView screen or contact help@chi.ac.uk.

I cannot access the online form, does that mean I am not eligible to graduate?

No, not necessarily. There are various reasons why you may not have access to the online form.

It may be that we are not yet aware of your potential eligibility to graduate and will therefore not have contacted you yet or created your graduation record (which enables you to access the online form).

If you haven’t received details or cannot access the online form and you believe that you are/will be eligible to graduate, please email graduation@chi.ac.uk with your name and student number immediately so that we can follow this up.

Tickets for graduating students

There is no charge for graduands’ tickets, but you must complete the graduation booking form so that we know you plan to attend your ceremony.

Graduands’ seats will be allocated as part of the registration process on the day.

If you do not book your place, we will assume you do not wish to attend and your award will be conferred in your absence (graduate in absentia).

Tickets for guests

When you first register your attendance, you’ll also be able to book a maximum of two guest tickets at £20 each.

The guarantee of two guest tickets will only apply to purchases made prior 6 July 2020 for undergraduate ceremonies and 14 September 2020 for postgraduate ceremonies.

You will have to pay for them at the same time you complete your registration form - guest tickets cannot be reserved without payment.

All guest tickets are £20 each. Children under 2 do not need a ticket providing they are seated on an adult’s lap.

Pay for your guest tickets (a maximum of two) - please do not pay for any additional guest tickets requested at this stage as these are subject to availability.

There is no free allocation of tickets and all guest tickets have to be paid for in advance. You will need to have confirmed your own attendance before purchasing guest tickets.

Tickets for children

Children under 2 do not need a ticket provided they are seated on an adult’s lap.

Due to the acoustics of the Cathedral, we ask the parents of very small children and babies consider sitting on the end of a row to ensure you can temporarily leave the ceremony if your child is upset or distressed at any point.

Additional tickets

Additional guest tickets are subject to availability and cannot be purchased at this stage.

Any additional tickets will be allocated on a ‘first come, first served’ basis from the date you completed your form and paid for your initial allocation of guest tickets. The earlier you book and pay for your initial tickets allocation the higher up the waiting list you will be.

Once the ticket booking deadline has passed we will assess the amount of spare tickets available for each ceremony. We will email you between 15 - 17 July 2020 for undergraduate ceremonies and between 23 - 25 September 2020 for postgraduate ceremonies to let you know if your application has been successful. You will be able to pay for any additional tickets at this stage. Please do not pay for additional tickets until we let you know that your application has been successful.

We always do our best to accommodate as many guests as possible but additional tickets cannot be guarantee.

Any advance arrangements regarding your party’s travel or accommodation are made at your own risk.

Live streaming

Unfortunately we are unable to live stream the ceremonies.

Guests are welcome to take photographs or video footage themselves, but we ask that they do this from their own seat and do not block the view of others.

Special requirements

If you or any of your guests have any special requirements, please indicate this on the graduation booking form, so that we can allocate appropriate seats.

Please note that the venue has limited seating for those in wheelchairs or who need easy access; we cannot guarantee that we can meet your needs if you do not let us know by Monday 6 July 2020 for undergraduate ceremonies and Monday 14 September 2020 for postgraduate ceremonies.

Guest ticket collection

Tickets will not be sent in advance - they must be collected on the day of your ceremony. When you complete the graduation booking form, you will receive a receipt via email for any tickets you purchase. Please bring this receipt with you on the day of your graduation ceremony.

If you misplace your receipt, the team on the ticket collection desk will have a record of payments with them.

If you have any questions about ticketing, email graduation@chi.ac.uk - please do not contact the Cathedral.
