University headlines Observer and Gazette business awards 2017
THE University is the headline sponsor of the Observer and Gazette Business Awards for the seventh year running.
To mark the awards, which celebrate the very best in business in the area, a Q&A networking evening is to be held on Wednesday 25 January.
The free event will give attendees the chance to meet the judges and hear some of last year’s winners and sponsors talk about their experience and how it has benefitted their businesses.
Attendees will also be able to ask questions and get a headstart with some valuable hints and tips to help with a strong award entry.
“These prestigious awards are a great vehicle for local businesses to gain the recognition they deserve,” said Sandra Coley, the University’s Head of Employer Engagement.
“The event will provide a useful introduction for any business considering entering and, of course, it’s a great networking opportunity.”
There are award categories to suit every kind of business from start-up to large business: young achiever to lifetime achievement and manufacturing to hospitality.
The deadline for entries is 22 February 2017 and winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in March.
Mr Gareth Sear, the University of Chichester’s Business Start Up Manager, will be hosting the a ten-minute presentation on top tips for a quality application and how to make the most of the awards.
The Q&A networking evening will be held at the University’s Bishop Otter campus, College Lane, Chichester, PO19 6PE, from 5:30pm to 7.00pm on Wednesday 25 January.
