Prof. Anne Rowe
Free for all!
In this lecture Anne Rowe will look back on the 25 years since the death of Iris Murdoch and ask what they hold of importance for contemporary readers today, not just for those who read them on publication. She will reflect on the development of interest in Murdoch fiction and philosophy over the past quarter-century and consider Murdoch’s status as a central post-war canonical figure.
Anne Rowe is Visiting Professor at the Iris Murdoch Research Centre, University of Chichester, and Emeritus Research Fellow at the University of Kingston, as well as the President of the Iris Murdoch Society. Her many works include Iris Murdoch: A Literary Life and Living on Paper: Letters from Iris Murdoch 1934–1995
