Chichester academic named in global ‘Top 50 Voices in Higher Education’ list

A University of Chichester academic has been celebrated for his ‘accessible and inspiring’ teaching in the Vevox Top 50 Voices in Higher Education for 2026.
James Wright is Senior Lecturer and Programme Leader for Accountancy and Finance at the University and was named on the list – which includes thought leaders in higher education from across the globe.
The list celebrates those ‘whose ideas are shaping the future of teaching, learning, and student engagement’.
James is celebrated for his ‘innovative, practice-based accounting education that connects academic learning with real-world business insight’ and is praised for making accounting ‘accessible and inspiring’. He also has upwards of 40,000 followers on YouTube following, as well as a strong following on TikTok and Instagram, where he shares educational posts on accounting.
He said: “I am truly honoured to be recognised as one of the Top 50 Voices in Higher Education 2026 by Vevox. This achievement would not have been possible without the unwavering encouragement and support of my colleagues at the University of Chichester and I’m excited to build on this recognition, continuing to enhance our students’ experience and to champion Chichester’s impact on the global stage.”
