The Business Hothouse extends programme to support businesses

Part of the University of Chichester Business School, the Business Hothouse programme has secured more time to continue aiding business with free advice.

The Business Hothouse has been providing free business support to entrepreneurs and business owners since March 2020. They’ve recently announced they’ve extended the programme, which was meant to end this September, until May 2023. Their immense success has seen 661 businesses established, 252 start-ups created and 331 Invest4 grant Fund applicants.

Programme Manager, Gareth Sear, explained: “We are here to bridge the business knowledge gaps in local businesses and to support them in their growth.”

Using funds raised through the European Regional Development Fund and coast-to- capital district council, the team have been able to provide free support for entrepreneurs and business owners. The programme has also faced new challenges with the series of successive lockdowns but still continued to support a phenomenal number of businesses.

Gareth commented: “This programme continues to have a positive economic impact on the coast-to-capital economy.”

Whether you’re just starting or looking to grow your established business, The Business Hothouse is dedicated to supporting the journey. The Business Hothouse’s free in-person and online workshops and intensive boot camps are open to any U.K. resident aged 18+. From developing leadership & management skills to starting a business to applying for a business grant, their free support programme runs until May 31st 2023.
