Research

Chen-an has previously explored the impact of Self-determination theory based exercise intervention among the Rheumatoid Arthritis patients (Physical Activity in Rheumatoid Arthritis, PARA) study, with the expertise of using and analysing the objective physical activity data from the accelerometer. Chen-an also involved in the Promoting Adolescent Physical Activity (PAPA) project which focused customise and evaluate the Empowering CoachingTM education programme, aim to help the coaches to maximise the motivational climate in the grassroots youth football. In addition, his areas of interests include positive psychology in sport, sport passion, and implementation intention and action planning in promoting physical activity.
