Cliona's top tips for Virtual Open Day

Despite not visiting the university in person on the day, I found the virtual open day very informative and had all my questions answered by the lecturer in his talk. I felt very welcome and felt reassured that at the University of Chichester, I am more than just a number.

My top tips for Virtual Open Day are:

1. Ask anything (no question is a stupid question!)

2. Speak to the student ambassadors about uni life and try and picture yourself living there.

3. Listen to the lecturers course talks to get information about your course and the different modules you will be taught throughout.

My university experience so far has been great! All the staff are lovely and so welcoming and all the students have been so kind, especially in such difficult times. Its become a home away from home.

Although most unis are teaching primarily online at the moment, the University of Chichester are teaching in person as much as possible. All of my lectures have been in person and lecturers try really hard to make it as normal as possible. We sit at least a metre apart from each other and wear masks to protect each other, and get frequent breaks to go outside and take it off. Despite COVID, I still begin my placement in November at a local primary school and have never been worried about the COVID rules put in place by the uni.
