About

Izzy gained her Degree in Advanced Applied Psychology (MSci) at the University of Chichester and is now working towards her PhD.

She is a Lecturer in Psychology, teaching on a number of modules across the degree programmes and levels. Within this role she coordinates the Research Participation Scheme and is co-lead of the Peer Assisted Learning (PAL) scheme.

She is also working as a Research Assistant on the SHIFT (Sexual Health In the over ForTy fives) project within Health and Wellbeing.

Izzy is a member of the British Psychological Society and is currently the Wessex representative for the Psychology Postgraduate Affairs Group (PsyPAG) and the co-editor of the BPS Wessex newsletter.

Izzy’s PhD is focused on investigating the transition to university life, with a keen interest in the role adaptability has. The goal is to identify the individual factors that impact this transition and ultimately to develop an intervention that would aid students in navigating this transition successfully.

Her other interest is with statistics anxiety amongst Psychology students.
