Lianna Wilding

About

Lianna Wilding is a Lecturer in Primary Education. She teaches on the undergraduate and postgraduate Primary Teaching and Education Studies programmes, specialising in early years, and inclusion. Lianna also enjoys teaching professional studies, with particular interests in behaviour and working with families. Lianna’s professional experience includes working as a Head of Infants and as an Early Years Advisor for West Sussex County Council. Prior to these roles, she worked as a qualified teacher, special educational needs co-ordinator and English subject leader within schools and early years settings- all roles she has enjoyed. Lianna provides consultancy support to early years settings wishing to develop their provision for children aged two years old and under.

Research

Lianna has research interests in child development and early years practice and policy. She is currently researching the impact of lockdown on children aged two-years-old in England through a longitudinal study. Lianna also has a professional interest in exploring belonging and transitions for first generation students and staff in higher education.
