About
Nerina graduated from the MA/ DipSW Social Work programme at the University of Hull in 1994.
Since qualifying Nerina has worked in a range of statutory settings including substance misuse services and mental health teams, as a social worker and senior practitioner. Nerina qualified as an Approved Social Worker in 1999, and practiced within this role as an ASW / AMHP until 2016.
Nerina qualified as a practice educator in 2003 and has offered student placements every year until joining Chichester University in 2018.
In 2002 Nerina moved into the role of a Learning and Development Consultant and Practice Manager within the Training and Development Team and since that time has been involved in: managing employment based schemes for training social workers, and has been the training lead for AMHP training and BIA training. Nerina has been involved with post qualifying awards for newly qualified social workers since 2003 and most recently has run action learning sets for newly qualified social workers in their ASYE year.
Nerina is currently the Practice Placements Co-ordinator and also teaches on the Social Work Methods and Practice Education modules.
