Alison Green

Associate Lecturer in Theology

About

She studied Medicine at Glasgow University and then completed training in General Practice in Alexandria (Scotland), Portsmouth and Chichester. She was a Psychiatric Registrar at Graylingwell Hospital, before spending most of her medical career as a Community Paediatrician based in Leigh Park, Havant. She is a member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, and was an Associate Lecturer at Southampton University Medical School.

Alison trained for ordained ministry in Cambridge and was ordained in 2013. Her research interests relate to the roles of chaplains in a variety of settings and the experiences of children and adults with disability in churches.
