About
Benard Kipchumba is an Associate Lecturer teaching mathematics at the Department of Engineering, Computing and Mathematics. Previously, Benard taught as Part-Time Lecturer in Mathematics and supervised undergraduate and research students. Benard obtained his PhD in Mathematics from the University of Sussex where he specialised in mathematical modelling of cell motility and also holds BSc in Mathematics (First Class Honours) and MSc in Applied Mathematics (Distinction) from the University of Nairobi, Kenya.
Professional
Benard was a recipient of the University of Sussex Chancellor’s International Research Scholarship towards PhD studies. I contribute to the teaching and evaluation of a broad range of mathematical modules within the Department of Engineering, Computing and Mathematics.
Research
Benard’s research interests are in mathematical modelling of the cell, disease modelling and dynamical systems and he has co-authored a number of research publications.
