About
Michael, a former freelance writer/producer/director, has broadcast credits as a director on factual content, a screenwriter for BBC Drama and as a producer of internationally successful short films.
Michael’s main areas of research are focused on the role of screenwriters as producers in drama production, oral history as drama/docudrama, character research through the use of monologues, Irish cinema, and Hollywood ‘mavericks’ of the 1960’s and 70’s. He is an active practitioner with a range of ongoing applied research projects including feature length screenplays, oral history projects and short films in development.
