Conferences and events
Facilities suited to your event
We understand the importance of choosing the right venue for your conference or event. We offer a range of meeting, seminar and networking rooms, all fitted with the IT equipment you need across our Chichester and Bognor Regis campuses.
All of our rooms are run by our professional conference and events team whose aim is to provide you with a hassle-free event organisation experience.
Our rooms are available throughout the year, and range in size to accommodate from 10 to 250 delegates. Our comprehensive delegate packages include user-friendly technology, car parking and various catering options depending on your needs.
Our on-site caterers offer a choice of menu options, from working lunches to three-course meals, and can cater for special diets by arrangement.
Car parking is available at both venues, including a number of disabled spaces.

Some of our spaces are a little bit different. Choose from our dance, performance and music studios, theatre-style ShowRoom, modern chapel, sports hall, lecture theatres, dining halls and bars.
All of our spaces offer something unique and include the facilities you’d expect from a conference venue.
Events
We have hosted a wide range of events at the University. We offer rooms of all types, shapes and sizes to best fit your needs.
From birthday parties, weddings, book launches, signings, talks and presentations, we have everything you need to make your event a success. As well as standard meeting rooms we offer hire of dance, performance and music studios, our theatre-style ShowRoom, modern chapel, sports hall, lecture theatres, dining halls and bars.
We can provide a wide range of drink and food options to keep your guests focused on enjoying your event.

Room hire only does not include any catering or parking permits in the costings.
Room hire only events outside normal office hours (Monday-Friday 9am-5pm) requiring onsite support may incur an additional staffing cost (£50 per hour, minimum 4 hours). No catering or parking permits are factored into these prices.
Bed and breakfast facilities
Overnight accomodation to support your event
We offer our bed and breakfast accommodation from the middle of June until the first week of September. Whether you are looking to put your delegates up for the night after a conference, are a keen follower of adrenaline sports or prefer lazy days in the great outdoors, our accommodation is centrally located for visiting all that West Sussex has to offer.
We have accommodation available on both of our campuses which will allow you to explore local sights and attractions such as the South Downs National Park, Chichester Harbour, Goodwood and West Wittering or Bognor Regis beach.
The local areas boast a vibrant mix of culture and history, nestled amongst a rich mix of boutique restaurants, traditional pubs and modern bars.
Each of our single en-suite bedrooms meet the three-star Visit Britain Quality in Tourism rating, while our standard single bedrooms meet the two-star Visit Britain Quality in Tourism rating and benefit from access to shared bathroom facilities on the same floor. Accessible rooms and facilities are available on request and meet the Visit England M1 to M3 rating.

All of our rooms are for single occupancy with single beds. If you would like adjacent rooms please let us know when you book and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Our rooms do not have TVs.
The majority of accommodation will have a kitchen. Guests in shared facilities will be able to use the kitchen to make themselves tea/coffee. Please note there are no cooking facilities as appliances are turned off and no utensils stored.
Smoking or vaping is not permitted in any of the university buildings or bedrooms. Please use the designated areas to smoke in.
B&B bookings, day delegate and residential 24hr rates include VAT.
Check in is from 3.00pm until 10.00pm at the Accommodation Office Reception. If you arrive later than this please follow the instructions on your confirmation letter as this varies depending on where your accommodation is.
You must vacate your room by 10am on the day of departure. If you are part of a residential group/conference which finishes later in the day please ask at reception where you can store your luggage.
We will provide breakfast in Otters Restaurant between 7.30am until 9.00am. For Goodwood Festival of Speed and Revival weekends we offer an earlier breakfast from 6.00am.
As we cater for residential conferences and summer schools, individual dinners are not available. If you are part of a group booking and wish to pre-book dinner please contact the us for details.
Yes, parking is available for all residential guests. Users must register car details on arrival.

Sometimes you need a different space to help your team to think outside of the box. Some meetings need to take place away from the office or perhaps you run a small business and only need a formal meeting space from time to time.
We offer a range of meeting, seminar and networking rooms, all equipped with the requisite IT equipment. And some of our spaces are little bit different.

Meeting room options
We have a range of meeting rooms available across both of our campuses.
The Chapel
With a capacity of up to 150, The Chapel has played host to a number of events from symphony orchestra concerts to jazz recitals. As well as musical events the room can be set up to accommodate the various needs of many events.
The Chapel is a versatile space and can often be found in use by dance classes and craft events, demonstrating its versatility.
The room is full equipped with PA system and AV equipment.
Mitre Lecture Theatre
The Mitre Lecture Theatre is fully equipped with state of the art AV equipment and comfy tiered seating in order to accommodate up to 199.
Regularly used for day and residential conferences the Lecture Theatre will provide an excellent space for any academic or business related presentations.
The ShowRoom
The Showroom is our main theatre: a large, technically advanced, theatre space. It is highly adaptable, with retractable seating, making it an excellent teaching and workshop space in addition to its role as a venue.
For several years, the ShowRoom has also been a professional regional touring venue, supported by the Arts Council and recognised nationally as a place for radical and challenging contemporary theatre and dance.
Cloisters
Cloisters Chamber is a multi-functional space that can accommodate up to 70 people and is regularly used for a number of networking events and exhibitions. Situated in University House, the older part of the University and overlooking the University lawns, it provides a popular and versatile location for any event.
The room boasts full AV equipment as well as historical features such as tree antique stained glass windows, installed over a century ago.
The Dome
The Dome is situated on our Bognor Regis campus and is suitable for accommodating a variety of events and meetings.
The newly renovated meeting spaces and IT access areas are versatile, and The Dome is frequently used for hosting evening events, conferences and forums.
