About
In March 2023, Izzy was elected as the new Students’ Union President and formally took up her role on the Board of Governors in July 2023. She, along with Vice President, Freddie Rainbow, coordinates the sabbatical team which consists of varied part-time roles such as LGBTQ+ Officer, Internationals Officer etc.
Izzy’s role is “to be the spokesperson and representative for the Students’ Union, ensuring all students feel welcomed in an inclusive environment and feel part of the university’s community. As President, I represent the student body at both local and national levels, sitting on a number of committees, allowing students’ opinions and voices to be heard on a senior level. Also, I oversee the Student Council, ensuring that the Students’ Union remains democratic, and the student body plays a part in how things are run.”
Izzy is also a member of the Nominations & Effectiveness Committee and the Honorary Awards Committee.
