About ChiGuides

ChiGuides is a peer support programme, designed to help first-year students with their transition to university.

Being a ChiGuide is a paid role for current students looking to mentor and support others through the university experience.

ChiGuides will share all their top tips for success at university, understanding what everything means and sharing insider information about everything they wish they knew sooner. Where needed, they will also be able to direct students to relevant support services on campus.

We will aim to match mentors to a group of students who study a similar subject to them, or are based within the same school, to create shared interests and allow insight into that specific area of study. Each group will comprise of approximately 20 first-year students to one ChiGuide.
