Debbie Hart

Lecturer in International English


Debbie’s association with the University of Chichester began in the summer of 2019, as an Associate Lecturer, teaching English with the ISPU. This was followed with teaching Pre-Sessional courses within the Business School, leading to her current position.

She has 30 years’ experience as a teacher, both in the UK and in New Zealand, beginning with twelve years in the Primary sector before moving into the field of TESOL. Working mainly in the private sector, she has enjoyed teaching English to people of all ages and many different nationalities. She also owned and managed a four-star B & B business in New Zealand for five years.


Debbie has a B.A (Sociology), Diploma in Teaching (NZ post-graduate), QTS in the UK and NZ, Cambridge CELTA and is currently completing the Trinity DipTESOL.
