About

Phil worked as a senior leader for 18 years, 14 of them as Deputy Head in West Sussex.

He has extensive experience of leading on a wide range of strategic priorities, notably CPD, curriculum design and disadvantaged students.

Having achieved an MSc in Educational Leadership and Management at the University of Portsmouth he made the transition to HE and took up his role at the University of Chichester in Jan 22.

Research

For his MSc Phil researched models of professional development in schools in the wake of the Covid pandemic- in particular the shift to performance development from appraisal.
