The HEAR
The electronic HEAR will detail activities students have undertaken alongside their University programme, which demonstrate that they have the type of skills that employers are looking for from graduates. These might include, for example:
- Teamworking
- Communication
- Business awareness
- Confidence and assertiveness
- IT skills
The HEAR initiative is the result of a national project across the HE sector designed to improve student employability.
The HEAR (Higher Education Achievement Report) is a University-verified, electronic document which records broader achievements in addition to programme and module details and results. The HEAR will grow with the student and they will be able to access it as they progress through their course. A final HEAR will be released to applicable students upon completion of their studies. The idea is that this electronic and University-verified document will help students to demonstrate to an employer what they have achieved and why they would be a good choice for them to employ.
