Apply for a place in Halls



To apply for accommodation at the University of Chichester you must have selected Chichester as your firm / first choice from the offers you receive.

UK Students

When you submit your application to study at the University of Chichester you will receive a seven digit Student Reference Number from the Admissions Team - this will be quoted on any correspondence from the Admissions Office to you.

You will need your Student Reference Number and Date of Birth to login to the Accommodation Portal where you will be able to apply for University owned accommodation betweeb 13th May and 28th June.

Please note if there are problems with the Accommodation Portal please try again at another point. If there is a problem in June an e-mail notification for a room will be accepted and should be sent to

International & EU Students only

You can apply for University owned accommodation as described above via the Accommodation Portal between May and August.

Please note accommodation application must be submitted by the deadline of 1 August to ensure you are guaranteed a room in University accommodation.

What Next?

Once we have received your electronic application, accommodation will be allocated using a randomised allocation system and you will be notified by e-mail of the accommodation we have reserved for you. If you are successful in getting University-owned and managed accommodation you will have 7 days to pay accept your offer.

You will be asked to indicate the type of accommodation you would be happy to accept at University of Chichester in order of preference.

Whilst we endeavor to meet students’ requests for particular accommodation, we cannot guarantee the type of accommodation offered may not necessarily be your first choice or on your requested campus.

Once you have submitted your application you will be sent an email to confirm that we have received your application. We would therefore be grateful if you would refrain from ringing to check that we have received it.

We will process all applications, allocate rooms and send you a confirmation e-mail, including arrival details, in early August. Once you have received written confirmation from us you will have 7 days to pay your non-refundable* £120 booking fee online.

*Should you decide not to take up your room, you will not be entitled to a refund of your booking fee. If you fail to achieve the grades necessary for entrance to University of Chichester your £120 booking fee will be refunded. All cancelations must be made in writing by post to the Accommodation Office or by email to
