Apply for Accommodation
Application criteria
To apply for accommodation at the University of Chichester you must have selected Chichester as your firm / first choice from the offers you receive.
- Accommodation is not first come, first serve - you have the same chance as everyone to get your first-choice accommodation.
- The accommodation portal doesn't work on mobile or tablet, make sure you apply on a desktop.
- You'll be able to choose 6 types of accommodation options; you can't repeat the same choice more than once.
- Education students will only be able to choose from three types of accommodation options due to the length of contract.
- Once you have submitted your application you will be sent an email to confirm that we have received your application.
Application guarantee
If you apply to study with us, we will assist you in securing suitable accommodation for your first year of study.
We can guarantee you a room in University-managed accommodation for your first year of study.
To be eligible for our guarantee, you must:
- Apply by the UCAS deadline (31 January 2024).
- Put us as your firm choice.
- Be in your first year of undergraduate study.
- Be studying full time.
If you do not meet these criteria, you are still welcome to apply for university accommodation, however we cannot guarantee you an accommodation place.
UK students applying for accommodation
- You'll need your Student Reference Number and Date of Birth to login to the “My Application” page on your Chi View account.
- The accommodation portal is open between 7 May and 23 June 2024.
- Applications must be submitted by the deadline to ensure you are guaranteed a room.
International & EU students only
- You'll need your Student Reference Number and Date of Birth to login to the “My Application” page on your Chi View account.

- If you need your accommodation early to attend orientation events, you can contact allocations@chi.ac.uk.
- Request your free bedding pack by contacting allocations@chi.ac.uk.
Pre-sessional students

pre-sessional programme page for further information about your accommodation options.
After you have applied
- Once we have received your application, accommodation will be allocated using a randomised allocation system and you will be notified by e-mail of the accommodation we have reserved for you.
- If you are successful in getting University-owned and managed accommodation you will have 7 days to accept your offer.
- You will be asked to indicate the type of accommodation you would be happy to accept at University of Chichester in order of preference.
- We cannot guarantee the type of accommodation offered may not necessarily be your first choice or on your requested campus.
- We will process all applications, allocate rooms and send you a confirmation e-mail after results day.
